Well, it’s that time of year again, Rebels!

How fast the year passes… sometimes.  With the end of the year approaching, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this past year of development in Vega Conflict, the good and the… less good, and take the opportunity to thank you all for being on this journey with us.

2025 has been a bit of a roller coaster on Vega Conflict, with plenty of both ups and downs. The Design team endeavoured to change up the status quo with Tier 15, especially when it came to things such as events, release cadences, etc., and some of those things were well received and some didn’t turn out as well as we would have liked. However, through your participation and feedback, we’ve been able to continue to refine the process and will continue to do so into 2026. We have some things coming in the new year that we’re excited to share with you.

The Design team is wrapping up the year by working on further rebalancing of Tier 15 content. This work is primarily focused on further defining Ship Class identity, helping the various classes feel more like how they were originally intended, sorting out possible changes to firing arcs *cough* Aegis *cough*, and anything else that can help. In line with this work we will also be better defining the identities of the various factions. We’re focusing on the Guardians to start, as they feel like they’ve been bringing up the rear for most, if not all of, this current tier. That’s not to say that we’re not looking at V.E.G.A. or the Saprophyte (or even the Corsairs), but the team doesn’t think they need as much attention as our poor, neglected Plant friends. The team is planning for the changes to start dropping as soon as January, so get those Guardian ships dusted off and ready for combat!

Speaking of combat, we will be taking another look at the current state of PvP combat. Resurgence has always been a point of contention but, right now, it is likely set too high to make for a healthy combat space. Looking at you, Starjammer. So, the Design team will be addressing that, in some form, in the new year. We understand that there needs to be a certain reward when it comes to engaging in PvP combat, and that the whole idea of risk vs. reward isn’t really there at this time. We want PvP to be exciting again and are determined to accomplish that goal.

As I mentioned earlier, there are exciting things coming in 2026. Here are just some of the things we plan on bringing you in the new year:

Q1:

  • Update to the Daily Mission system
  • The return of the Unrequited Event
  • T15 Faction rebalancing

Q2:

  • New Bridge level - With plenty of other module updates
  • Summer Solstice/VC Anniversary

Q3:

  • The next exciting chapter in the VC storyline

Q4:

  • Haunted
  • Winter Solstice

There is plenty more coming than what is shown here, I just wanted to whet your appetite. VC has no intention of slowing down in 2026, and we hope you stick with us along this journey.  With that said, from everyone here on the Vega Conflict team, we hope you have a safe and fun holiday season this year, and we’ll you see back on the flight deck in the new year.

This time of year always fills with me nostalgia… or is that a different feeling…

Almost like someone is watching. No, not him. But yet, still familiar.

Ah, it’s probably nothing…
