The water is starting to get hot just in time for summer! Captains must use their Defiance dreadnoughts to do battle on their own or with a comrade in these challenging boss-style targets. Watch for the drones weaving through the targets and submarines, which deal more damage when they’re surfaced.

Boss Event Strategy

Level 50 Target: The central boss hull applies a shroud to the drone-spawning pineapple hulls to the north. Submarine hulls fire rockets and torpedoes while surfaced and will remain surfaced most of the time. Submarines still fire their torpedoes and are invulnerable while submerged. Avoid the drones as they also act as smart torpedoes, detonating when they hit the player.

Level 500 Elite Target: Central boss hull applies a shroud to the drone-spawning pineapple hulls to the north and south. Destroying the first boss hull also causes an additional Boss to spawn from the east side of the target, similar to the first boss but no longer on waypoints; this hull will chase the player down. Submarine hulls in the target surface and submerge on 6 and 10 second timers, respectively. When surfaced, the subs will fire rockets as well as their torpedoes (these torpedoes will fire in both surfaced and submerged states). Avoid the subs while they’re submerged, as they can still deal damage to you, but your damage to them is greatly reduced. Avoid the drones as they also act as smart torpedoes, detonating when they hit the player
