Ahoy, Captains.

The Team has been working hard to bring a new base defense building to life: the Tactical Platform!
This is a new type of defensive building that allows you to equip powerful HEAVY Installations in your base. The Heavy Installations behave similarly to existing Tactical Installations used on other buildings, but due to their significant power they can only be equipped to the new Tactical Platforms.

Up to three Tactical Platforms can be built and deployed inside your base, and they share the same capacity as the current base Defense Platforms, consuming 4 slots from that shared capacity.

This will allow you to build Tactical Platforms while retaining your 12 Heavy Defense Platforms. Each platform can equip 1 of the new Heavy Installations and up to 4 armors, providing a significant anchor to your defenses.

The first two Heavy Installations – the Warlance Node and the Hardpoint Relay – will provide increased Damage or Damage Resistance buffs to nearby buildings and hulls. Future Heavy Installations will offer any number of new and interesting buffs for friendly units or debuffs to incoming attackers caught in their zone.

Each module can be equipped by up to two platforms once the module has been purchased.
