To improve server performance and increase available memory, abandoned player accounts (accounts that have been inactive for a period of 1.5 years or more) are periodically removed from our database.

As a result, players attempting to recover previously abandoned accounts may be directed to a new level 1 base. This process is not reversible, as the inactive account data is purged entirely. However, returning players are encouraged to start up again and take advantage of the improvements to War Commander's new user experience, such as significantly reduced upgrade times on buildings.
