MISSION DESCRIPTION

Mutoto has returned, but now he seems… different. Gone is his normal calm demeanor, and now he seems almost crazed. Demanding we return Hannibal, he speaks of mind control, indoctrination, and apocalyptic warnings. Are his visions warning us of a dark future or has he succumbed to thorium poisoning?

In Operation: Dark Omens, Commanders will face off against the Campaign Track, The Incursion Track, and the Tactical Track. Unlock the story and the new Unit in the Campaign Track, and earn HUGE amounts of XP in the Incursion and Tactical Tracks. Use the event XP to purchase prizes in the Event Store.

Eastern Horde

Long freed from their oppressors, these once child soldiers have an urge for revenge and a penchant for incineration. Mercy, compassion, and temperance were not words these soldiers learned in school.

Rogue Pegasus

Our favorite sky sentry, the Pegasus, has been twisted into an airborne killer. Insane range and loaded for bear, sky bear, this floating demon means an air assault is out of the question.

Eastern Horde Updates

We're not sure exactly what Mutoto's been up to with the Thorium around him, but we've seen his units shrug off flames like they were nothing. HQ recommends avoiding the use of Fire damage at all costs.

Fire Brigade:

Rumors say that the air targeting circuits in these units have degraded to the point where they no longer function. Sources also say that they have been reduced to the bare minimum defensively.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: LIGHT

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: FIRE

Fireman:

Noticed first in a show of force parade, their flames seem different from before but there has been no meaningful change to the combat effectiveness of their weapons. Their armor on the other hand seems to have been taken straight from the Fire Brigades.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: MEDIUM

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: FIRE

Lifetaker:

A continuous thorn in our sides. These self-destructing units hold no regard for their own lives or ours. Equipped with interference devices that cause enemies to prioritize their attacks on the Lifetakers, these represent a dangerous and tactical addition to the Eastern Horde's arsenal.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: MEDIUM

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST, followed by AREA

Meteor:

Our Intel suggests that Mutoto has invested a large amount of resources in upgrading the Meteors. They are now equipped with new missiles that deal Viral damage and new targeting chips allowing them to target all units and and all targetable missiles. This has led to a change in how the missiles must be fired so keep a close eye on them.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: MEDIUM

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST

Hot Rod:

Like the Fire Brigade, the targeting circuits on these were also left to degrade and now they can only target ground units. Mutoto seemed much more focused on increasing their survivability from longer ranged opponents. Mutoto also seemed keen on replacing the troops piloting these vehicles with veterans capable of moving and shooting simultaneously.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: LIGHT

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: AREA

Arsonist:

The Arsonists have been vying for the top spot with the Firemen in Mutoto's infantry which has led to advancements in the compounds used in their fire grenade. Take caution when and where those land.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: MEDIUM

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: SUSTAIN(Main weapon), FIRE(Fire Grenade)

Bombarder:

One of the most modified vehicles in Mutoto's arsenal. The Bombarders were given the same targeting and Viral upgrades as the Meteors, but were also given a slew of other modifications such longer range and increased projectile speed.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: LIGHT

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST

Fire Warden:

The first changes noticed to these units was an increase in armor. Analysis from the labs indicate these units have been supplied with additional Flat Damage Reduction.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: HEAVY

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST

Fire Brand:

Originally a prototype, these units have been stolen by the Eastern Horde and given a new projectile that unleashes a cluster of explosions on target.

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: HEAVY

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST(Initial explosion), BURST(Secondary explosions)

Pyromantis:

After Corpus HQ took heavy losses engaging a platoon of Pyromantis, they informed us that these tanks seem to have an immunity to Energy damage. Among a slew of changes including the ability to deploy Energy storms and increased armor from distant targets. The only weakness they saw was when a unit closed the gap, they seemed unable to respond

ARMOR CLASSIFICATION: HEAVY

DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION: BURST(Projectile), ENERGY(Storms)
