Hailing all War Commanders! This is Young Russell speaking, the Design Lead on War Commander

This message is to keep you informed as to upcoming operations that you will be asked to assist with. The sector faces grave dangers yet again, but help is on the way.

After receiving a classified transmission from Dr. Heinrich von Kruger, Shadow tasked us with terminating Verkraft mining expansion in the Sector. While we are aware this has something to do with Thorium, these mines have unearthed another unusual resource, Iridium. This new building material is immensely resistant, and it can be extracted with great expedience. Our architects have found multiple ways to incorporate this new material into buildings, so not only will new levels now require Iridium instead of Metal, Oil, and Thorium, but they have retrofitted older buildings as well, greatly increasing their defensive capabilities.

As a thank you, for assisting with Verkraft, we are granting every Commander with 200,000 Iridium. That’s half of your total capacity. In addition, we have used Orpheus’s drone signal technology to expand our base radar, allowing us to see much more of the battlefield surrounding us. This expansion also comes with some free additional building area.

One final new technology being rolled out immediately, is a total power revamp, including the ability to overdrive your base defense. Check out the Power Management screen to experiment and find your perfect setup. There are some other goodies in the Command Center 21 update that you will have to see for yourself.

Like every year, we had to leave certain features on the cutting room floor. A few of these are exciting enough to warrant finishing, and you will see them coming very soon.

Before I go, I’ve been cleared to share with you some hints about upcoming plans. We have heard that Kane has taken advantage of the Thorium Resonance and the ripples in spacetime it caused. You can expect to see him for the entirety of next month. Some time after that, our team plans to make some changes to the main Event structure, allowing more units to shine, and offering more activities for players to meaningfully engage in.
