The following changes & fixes are being applied in the 15.20 Release on Thursday, October 30th, at 10 AM PDT. NOTE: This downtime will be extended because of how many changes are taking place.

[Nightmare Skirmish]

Earn the first Arc II Hero, Minuet, the Equinox Chronophage Hero in this month’s Skirmish, and use it to dominate in the upcoming monthly Event. Taking point on the research work on the Tachyon project, Minuet has developed a more mobile temporal engine. Her research has helped develop the Chronophage, a tank capable of manipulating spacetime. Her body keeps the record of her timeslips. Tattoos each jump she makes help her keep track of her real age.

For this Skirmish ONLY, past Nightmare Exclusive Uniques and their Tech will be available as well.

We’ve expanded the Skirmish roster to include the TWO most recent seasons! Use your Goliath, Crozier, Siren and Firefly units and their Heroes, the Macedon, the Metatron, and for this month only Bloodfang, Dr Ache, Dr Aegon, Gravedigger, and Nox against Kane’s Forces to play through the Recruit set or the Officer set to earn skirmish XP. Sets can be completed in any order and pay out a bonus XP Cache. The Officer set will test your might but will pay out more XP than the Recruit set. Choose the set that best fits your power level. You can hit the targets multiple times, and wins will count towards future set completions, so you won't be penalized for hitting a target again!

Starts: October 31st at 10 AM PDT
Ends: November 3rd at 10 AM PST
Store Closes: November 4th at 10 AM PST

[ARC II Improvements]

As we move into ARC II, several improvements are being made:

  • As with each Generation improvement, ARC II units will have a higher max power over previous generations. While they’ll still start comparable to the previous Generation at low levels, they will be much more powerful at their max level.

  • To decrease build pressure, ARC II units will no longer require time to upgrade, but instead use Tokens like with Heroes, and Legendary Units.

  • We’ll be simplifying which Weapon Types work against which Armor Types, as opposed to the current system where certain factions had specific weaknesses to Weapon and Damage Types.

    • BURST is strong against HEAVY

    • SUSTAIN is strong against MEDIUM

    • AREA is strong against LIGHT

    • Projectiles that used to use ENERGY will now ignore 25% of a Unit’s flat Damage Reduction.

    • Projectiles that used to use FIRE will do 2x Damage to Buildings and Zombies.

  • ARC I Units will receive a boost to Health and Damage by 50%. See the Designer Diary for the full list of units being boosted HERE.

  • Several ARC I units will also be receiving additional buffs:

    • Moonskater: Speed increases from 4 to 6. Acceleration and Deceleration remain the same.

    • Meteor Storm: +33% Fire Rate, Reload Time decreased from 5s to 3.5s. Deep Range Optics Tech now adds Air targeting, and enables hitting High Altitude.

    • Warrior: +100 Range. Gains 2 stacks of War Momentum per axe thrown. Axe projectile speed has been doubled.

    • Metatron: Should move into range better for his more powerful weapon now. Speed increases from 2 to 4. Acceleration and Deceleration remain the same.

    • Macedon: Speed increase from 6 to 7. Acceleration and Deceleration remain the same.

    • Orbiter: +50 Range.

    • Crozier: +125 Range.

    • Firefly: +50 Range.

  • Unique Units will now be released every 4 months, with Parts being earned over 3 months of Shadow Ops, with a bonus month of Shadow Ops to catch up at the end, along with bonus prizes during that month. The final Part will still be released in the Main Event following 3 Months of Shadow Ops.

    • You will no longer need Parts to unlock Elite and Omega levels, but we’ll instead be switching to Upgrade Tokens to streamline unit progression across all unit Types. Elite Tokens will be made available a month after the Unique Unit comes out in Strike Ops, and Omega Tokens will be available 2 months after the Unit comes out in Strike Ops.

    • Tech for the Unique Units will be available 3 months after the unit releases in Strike Ops.

    • Unique Units will now be Factionless moving forward.

  • Instead of spending 2 months in a row on a single Faction, we’ll now be spending one month focused on a single Faction to allow for each faction to get a new Unit without as long of a wait, making it a 4 month Season instead of a 2 month Season. This also means that we’ll normally be focusing on the same enemy faction for 4 months with exceptions to special faction appearances (Kane’s Forces, Winterforce), to allow you to form strategies and get used to the newer units for a longer time.

  • All Buildings in your Base will receive a Health increase.

NOTE: Because ARC I units will be receiving additional Health, during the downtime we will be retreating all Platoons on the World Map to Repair them, so any deployed Platoons will be back in your base after the downtime.

[Fairplay]

Evil-doers discovered a way to deploy more units than should be possible in battle. That ability has been eliminated.

[UI Changes]

  • There’s now a new Health bar for Units.

  • There’s now a new setting to hide Enemy Trophies on Player Bases.

  • There’s now a setting to disable Lore dialogue on bases that have them.

  • General Performance Improvements

  • Missionaries were unable to target Floating Platforms

  • Some Tactical Ops Boosts were expiring early (NOTE:To fix this, it will cancel the Bronze and Silver Offensive Tac Ops Boosts active during the downtime. We will have an offer when the game comes back up for all players for 200,000,000 Thorium as compensation for this.)

  • Warlord Vesuvius’ Hero Tag was not functioning correctly
