NEW FEATURES

Expanded Base Borders - We’ve expanded the area in your base where you can place Buildings and Defenses for FREE, as well as moved back the spawn points of the enemy in your base. There will also be additional levels of Base Expansion available in the future, so there’s even more room to grow.

 

If you’ve purchased any levels of Base Expansion already, those levels are included on top of the free expansion. We will also have 5 NEW levels of expansion to further increase your Base size.

 

In addition, we’ve also added additional levels of Zoom in Bases (Player and Rogue Faction), that can be controlled by the scroll wheel on your mouse. You’re also now able to pan the camera further in all directions of your base, so you can see beyond your Base borders.

 

Base Power Scaling - With this update, we’ve changed the way Power works in the Base. Turrets will no longer take power, instead, instead all Buildings and Defense Platforms will require their own Power cost, and  there are now multiple degrees of effectiveness to your various defenses. You now have the ability to prioritize where you want that Power to go.

With the new Power Manager found in your Power Plants, you can adjust what YOU want powered in your Base. Want your Turrets to do more damage, but your Rockets to have less Range? You can power up those Turrets. You feel like you could use some back up? Crank the dial on your War Production. The Power is now your’s to command.

 

In the past, being under powered would slow a Turret's Fire Rate. Now, as Power Efficiency decreases, Turret and Rocket Failure Rate increases, and War Production unit health decreases.

 

Iridium - Another new Resource? Kinda. Instead of Advanced Materials, Silicon, Chemicals, and Cores to make Bastions and Upgrade to newer levels, you’ll need to use Iridium. This way it’ll be easier to manage and collect the Resources you need to upgrade and defend your Base! Want to build a Bastion? You just need Iridium. Want to Upgrade a Turret? You just need Iridium. Want to upgrade to the new Building Levels with this update? You just need Iridium.

 

You’ll be able to hold 400,000 Iridium at once, with no weekly limit on how much you can earn. All players will be given 200,000 Iridium for FREE after the update, which is more than enough to get started on upgrading your Buildings. In addition, for the rest of September, Iridium Bases will spawn on the World Map every day! After September, they’ll return to the same spawning cadence as the Bastion Resource Bases, so getting the materials you need to keep your upgrades going will be easier than ever.

 

Metal, Oil, and Thorium will still be used for upgrading older levels of Buildings, Units, and equipping Tech. Advanced Materials will still be used for building Constructs, and their bases will still spawn twice a month on the Map. Iridium for the time being will only be used for upgrading new Building Levels and Bastions.

 

Other Features - Along with these new features, there are other standard improvements going out across the game:

  • Updated Building Health: We created new Building Health values from scratch, increasing every level's health on average.

  • Updated Building Upgrade Times: We have drastically reduced the upgrade times needed for early levels of Buildings.

  • Updated Turret and Rocket Damage: We have slightly increased the damage output of Turrets and Rockets. This is not a full revamp so we will reassess these values when we move to Arc 2 based on player feedback and performance.

 

Future Updates - These are just the new features coming with this update, but future updates will include:

  • Making Advanced Platforms as options for ALL your Platforms, and they’ll then fall under the Iridium Resource to Upgrade. 

  • Expanding the Map Size of Rogue Faction Bases.

  • New Missiles and Turrets.

  • Changes and improvements to the new features based on feedback and performance.
