Season 4 Changes
1. Rank-Based Medal Multipliers
To better reflect the challenge & prestige of higher ranks, and open up more targets for players, Season 4 introduces medal multipliers based on player rank. When two players battle, the lower-ranked player’s multiplier is applied to both players.
Rank | Multiplier |
Diamond | 500x |
Platinum | 100x |
Gold | 20x |
Silver | 5x |
Bronze | 1x |
This change helps balance medal earning across ranks and makes high-tier PvP suitably more rewarding, while maintaining the intended rank splits to minimize exploits.
Note: This will affect Alliance leaderboard tallies and the individual leaderboards.
2. Alliance Medal Leaderboard Reset
The Alliance Leaderboard will now reset at the end of each season, just like individual medals.
- When players join an alliance, their medals will be added to their total.
- When a player leaves, their medals will be subtracted.
This change helps ensure a level playing field and ensures the Alliance leaderboards reflect an Alliance's current power.
3. Updated Retreat Rules
We’ve heard players call for a reward when you successfully force an opponent to retreat. Here’s what’s changing:
A. Medal Gains on Retreats (NEW):
- If an attacker has 3+ ships and takes 20%+ damage, the defender will now earn medals even if the attacker retreats.
- If the attacker is stopped before destroying 2 objectives and takes 80% or more damage, the defender will earn the full defense reward of 2 medals. That attacker will also be medal-locked from that base, just as if they had been fully destroyed.
B. No Medals for Scouting:
Retreating with fewer than 3 ships or under 20% damage will not trigger medal rewards (useful for scouting).
C. Medal Lock Reduced:
You can now only attack a player 3 times before triggering medal lock, down from 5.
Combined, these changes should reward a player for a successful defense while minimizing medal feeding exploits.
4. UI Improvements
- The battle log will now show both player ranks at the time of the battle.
- A new display will show medal multipliers on the post-battle screen, alongside earned medals and ranks.
