Greetings Captains,
We want to provide an update on Battle Pirates and our direction moving forward into 2026.
After we finished addressing the major concerns with the PvP Medals system, particularly with regard to Alliances, we shifted our focus to some of the minor but longstanding bugs and feature requests from players. While there’s certainly been some hiccups along the way, we’ve made solid progress.
RECENT UPDATES & BUG FIXES
A range of performance optimisations across the board affecting all things from game load to battle networking.
Fixed the random disconnect on joining PvP battles.
Upgrade Kit Inventory can now be viewed in the COMMAND CENTER drop-down menu.
Added the ability to rotate portals in the base planner.
Dead buildings no longer block clicks.
Buildings no longer disappear at the edge of the screen in combat.
Overhauled the Rogue Crew inventory management, allowing us to increase the number of crews players can store.
Rogue Crews can be dismissed or extended on the World Map.
Fleets can now be mass recalled all at once when relocating.
Updated the “scroll” bar to have a minimum size, making it easier to navigate the full store menu.
Added a “SEARCH” bar and filter drop-down to the event stores.
Update Prizes to show the number of a Blueprint already owned.
We prioritise issues reported by players, and continue to work through the issues raised, so make sure you report and/or upvote issues in Discord in the FEEDBACK or BUG REPORT channels. KIX Hank and others monitor these channels.
GAME CHANGES
Season Change - Flagships
Players had raised a point of concern with the Flagship appearing after they were already using the fleet and how that could lead to needing to refit or rebuild after it was acquired. To accommodate the desire to have the full fleet, including the Flagship, earlier, we have moved it up to the same Raid as the initial hull release at the end of the current season.
To ensure players' Shipyards are not overwhelmed, we have moved the U3 upgrades to the first raid of the season, where the Flagship was previously located. U1-U2 will still be released with the new hull and flagship.
Accolades
Players fight hard for their place on the leaderboards and prove their dominance of the seas, and we wanted to better celebrate that in game. We have added new “accolades” which will appear as banners beneath their name on the worldmap, indicating their achieved position (1st/2nd/3rd) and the leaderboard it was achieved on (Global/World/Sector). These will last until the next PvP season ends, highlighting the player's prowess for all to see.
2026 Roadmap and future plans…
In addition to adding player-requested improvements to the game from our feedback channels on Discord, we have a range of new features including but not limited to:
PvP Seasons - Information about the season shown in game, including the timing of the season, rewards, and rules.
Shipwrecks and Interceptors - changes to support more Fleet vs. Fleet combat.
Alliance Overhaul - Improved Alliance management, adding more perks to being part of an alliance.
Alliance Wars - Time for Alliances to prove their might and dominion of the seas in all out war!
Mega Hulls Overhaul - Overhauling the combat and providing PvP and PvE opportunities for your mega hulls.
New user experience - Modernise the new user flow and catch-up systems to better support new and returning players to the game.
Officers - Adding these for kixeye.com players.
Revisiting Draconian Uranium Bases and Sub-Sector Resource Bases
Kix Hank: Will continue to make typos and other mistakes. Is it on purpose? We may never know.
And much more…
In Summary
We’re excited to continue to deliver a range of exciting new features and quality-of-life improvements. We greatly appreciate everyone's feedback and contributions on Discord, and we look forward to addressing player concerns and keeping the game fresh and exciting for years to come!
