The last of the Scourge outposts are cracking and the Blackwater's resistance to the Shinigami fleets lies in the balance.
Vassago now knows that the Scourge aims to use the Abyssal seed to decimate the global population and seed new life on the surface.
If the Blackwater can absorb the Abyssal Seed it will be capable of producing a self-replicating bioweapon, but if the Scourge research on the weapon continues unabated it will be a weapon pointed at all of us.
The only question left unanswered; will Vassago seize the weapon for his own nefarious purposes or rid the world of it for good?
